-DO NOT send us documents with identifying information! Name, phone number, location…all of that should be OFF the document!
-DO have your word count (for prose) or your line count (for poetry) written on the top of your document
-DO send us images of your art that are 300dpi (so we can print it if we want, and you want that!)
-DO NOT be afraid to send your best work
-DO NOT fear rejection! It happens to all of us
-DO tell your friends about submitting

Submission directions not clear: How does one identify the work if she can’t put her name on the document?
Our submissions system, submittable, collects the name and contact information of the submitter. Once a piece is accepted or rejected by our staff the name of the submitter is revealed. We request no identifying information be on the uploaded document so our editors can judge the piece impartially. Attachments/documents with identifying information will be disqualified and automatically kicked out of the system. We plan to open for submission on December 15th.
