At fourteen, Erin received her first paid publication. Now, a few years wiser, she has gone on to garner more than 65 awards and publications for her writing, including the national Younkin-Rivera Prize for Poetry. In August 2010, she signed with a top New York agent who is currently marketing a 6-book series for tween readers called Grand Magic. When not writing, Erin works at MCC-Longview as a writing tutor, interns for Whispering Prairie Press, and is editor-in-chief of the internationally recognized literary magazine, Shorelines. Erin has the unique opportunity of viewing the importance of an author’s platform from both a writer’s and editor’s perspective.
