Celebrate with us on October 11th the release of Volume 13! Sunday, October 11th, 2015 – 4-5:30 pm-Kansas City Voices Volume 13 official launch. The Plaza Branch of the KC MO public library, downstairs in the conference area. We have some wonderful readers lined up: Glenn North, Tammy Littlejohn, Dawn Downey, John Peterson, Annie Newcomer, Jen Leeper, Gladys Haughton, and Alan Proctor.
Kansas City has a lot of amazing publications for and by artists and writers. A small group has decided to raise money to host the first ever Kansas City Zine Convention in the beautiful Uptown Theater. We had a successful submission period this year! We received 845 poems, 232 prose, & 135 art. That’s a lot to sift through, but you will hear back from us shortly. Thanks to everyone who sent in their work!
